“*Do not read unless you have time* My husband and I came here for 5 nights for our honeymoon and we could not be happier with our experience. The food, service, views, and accommodation are all phenomenal. No itinerary needed for this trip as they already have plenty of on-site entertainment such as water sports, dance classes, live musicians, and craft classes. We want to personally shout out the following people for making our stay extra special: Hilario - our private transfer chauffeur: amazing driver, super inviting with great conversation, and smooth on the road. Provided cold water bottles and cold towels upon arrival. Made the drive feel quick. Javier - the salsa/bachata/craft instructor: master of all trades! Comical guy, excellent teacher, and had plenty of patience while we learned our basic steps. Cesar - water sports specialist: we will never forget you! Friendliest person we have ever met. He took us out on the sailboat twice during our stay, educated us about the cancun beach and wildlife, gave us additional insight to the culture, and made sure we scheduled the best time to go on the boat based on the wind conditions. The entire staff in general is amazing, and they do everything they can to make sure you are having a good time. The attention to detail was a beautiful little surprise at every special moment, and we were happy to discover them little by little. The absolute best aspect about this resort is how few people there are staying at the resort compared to the number of staff members. There is never a moment where the beach, a pool, a bar, or a restaurant is fully packed. The only time it may feel tight is at Lupita Lounge when there is a performance going on, but we truly can't complain. It's the most relaxed we have felt in a long time. Thank you for such a gorgeous honeymoon.”
“Everything about this resort is top-notch! Service is beyond amazing. Alex was the best beach server ever!! He truly made sure my stay was amazing! I was so impressed that multiple staff members remembered my name. True hospitality! Luis took care of us at Lupita and Le Bisou! So grateful! Benito and Franklin were fantastic at the sushi bar! Definitely stop by! Pasquale took care of us at the bar! Our penthouse room was absolutely perfect! We are headed back next April!”
“My husband and I stayed at Beloved for five nights in March, and it was hands down the best vacation, best AI, best resort, best everything we had ever experienced. Check in was fast and easy, and our swim-out room in building 2 was clean, luxurious, spacious and comfortable. The drinks are strong, the food is great, and I loved not having to mess around with reservations. The beach was clean and quiet, and Fabiola was always helpful and friendly. Alex was wonderful and attentive while we were poolside outside of our room. The pools were heated, which was lovely! I really appreciated the complete lack of outside vendors and on-property upselling/soliciting: there was no one on the beach bugging you to braid your hair, no timeshare pitches, no one hawking massages as you walk to breakfast. We did the hydrotherapy session that was included with our package, and there wasn't even an attempt to sell us additional spa services! I truly felt relaxed and cared for while I stayed at Beloved, and I cannot wait to return.”
“We visited Beloved for five days in early January and got engaged there! We absolutely loved the place. Particularly the service was top notch the whole time, staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to help plan some surprises my (now) fiancé had for me. We stayed at a two-story casita suite with a plunge pool and it was fantastic. It was spacious and had everything we needed. We had some small issue trying to turn off the jets in the plunge pool and with the doorknob to the roof, but we called them and they came and fixed it within 30min of us calling. Any time we called them for something they were very quick, we were impressed especially late at night. All the food is very very good, with some things ranging from "wow that's amazing!" to some "that's ok", but we didn't try anything we thought was terrible or bad, for the most part every meal was really good! our favorite was the taco truck and the cafe place with baked goods and gelatto! But the quiche appetizer at the French restaurant was to die for. Portions tend to be small but we didn't have any issues ordering as many dishes as we wanted. The seafood is very good and fresh, sushi is a little lean but I was impressed by their ribeye! We loved that there were options to do so many fun things but also no pressure and the vibe all around is pure relaxation. We had a sip and paint that was very fun, saw a "liquid" show that was very impressive, and listened to live musicians by the pool, and we didn't even do 30% of the activities available but it was still so fun to not have to plan anything and just participate if we wanted to. I must say the treatment we got from the staff once they learned we got engaged on our second night there was absolutely five stars. Particularly, Sr. Alberto, a mezcal master (and I think manager of one of the restaurants?) took extra care of us and planned a private mezcal and ceviche tasting free of charge, and on our last day there, he gave us a bottle of mezcal that he brought from his home collection wrapped ready for travel so that we can "serve it at the wedding". They really made us feel special! Also we visited the spa on the last day and it was SO good we regretted not visiting earlier so we could have gone everyday. It was such a fantastic stay, not only because we got engaged of course, but because the service and quality we experienced just made it so much better. Before we even left we were planning on coming back for anniversaries or a baby moon? we can't wait to stay there again!”
“I stayed at Beloved for five nights during Christmas week. The check-in experience left something to be desired. Despite the holiday season, only one staff member was manning the desk, leaving us to wait on the lobby couch for about 20 minutes before being attended to. There were two desks available, so perhaps staffing is more robust during other periods, but it was a slow start to the trip. We stayed in Building 1, located directly above the lobby. The primary advantage here is the proximity to the French and steak restaurants, as well as the evening entertainment. However, the trade-off is that it is the furthest location from the beach and pools. Initially, I regretted not upgrading to a swim-up suite which would have been closer to both a pool and the beach, but I realized that the north-facing orientation of those buildings prevents the sun from reaching the balconies and loungers of those suites. Consequently, I wouldn't have utilized that amenity much. The Casitas closer to the beach, particularly the oceanfront ones, appeared to be the only upgrade truly worth the investment. We booked the standard suite, which was spacious and featured a large balcony and a pleasant Jacuzzi. The interior decor, however, was minimalist to the point of feeling sparse. A nice touch was the complimentary minibar and the daily delivery of cookies and cakes. One design flaw to note: the bathroom light sensor is overly sensitive and would indiscriminately illuminate the room whenever we tossed and turned in bed. The resort is intimate; aside from the pool, beach, and a modest games area, the grounds are small. This suited me perfectly, as my priority was beach time, but some may find limiting. The standout feature of this property is undoubtedly the tranquility. The demographic consists mostly of couples in their 30’s to 70’s who keep to themselves, maintaining a serene atmosphere without noise or partying. If peace and quiet while you tan is your objective, Beloved is a 10/10. It is worth noting that the beach was quite windy during our stay, which caused occasional discomfort. I recommend checking wind conditions prior to arrival to manage expectations. The high winds necessitated the suspension of water sports like kayaking and jet skiing and made the ocean too rough for swimming. As a result, our first few days were somewhat monotonous. Regarding seating, beach loungers were plentiful, but pool loungers were scarce. Staff generally did a good job clearing towels left behind to signal vacancy, but not always. Occasionally, you have to take the initiative to remove old towels and claim a spot if no personal belongings are present. Service on the beach and at the pools was attentive, with frequent rounds by wait staff. The culinary experience was inconsistent. The highlights were undoubtedly the crispy shrimp at the seafood restaurant (El Mar), the ribeye at the steakhouse, and everything at the taco stand—I highly recommend seeking these out. The sushi bar was also above average. Unfortunately, the rest of the dining was mediocre. For instance, my filet mignon at the French restaurant arrived well-done and tough, despite ordering it medium-rare, and the risotto at the Italian restaurant was underwhelming. The cocktails were acceptable but certainly not mixology-grade; don't expect a high-end cocktail bar experience. A significant operational issue is the lack of a reservation system, which leads to frustrating wait times. On Christmas Eve, the special menu at the steakhouse drew a crowd, resulting in a 45-minute wait. By the time we were seated, they had run out of the entree meat dishes, which was quite disappointing. Implementing a simple reservation system to would solve this easily. Hopefully, this information helps future guests make a well-informed decision. Overall Rating: 7/10. It was a good stay, but not great. To elevate this to an 8 or 9, management needs to invest in a higher-quality food program—even if that requires simplifying the menus—improve the arrival experience, and better organize dinner seating.”
